OUR STORY
We are a team passionate about marine conservation and sustainable development. We believe that transformation begins with collective commitment and conscious action.

We didn't start as a foundation. We began by traveling in search of waves and documenting what happened to us along the way. Over time, those stories became a tool for protecting the ocean and those who live in and around it.
Our work began in 2015 with Gauchos del Mar, supporting the protection of the Mitre Peninsula in Tierra del Fuego, one of the most pristine and fragile ecosystems in South America. That process defined our approach: using documentary film to amplify causes and strengthen conservation projects.
But filming isn't enough. That's why our goal is to combine scientific knowledge and community work, so that they become concrete action.
HOW WE WORK
Today we work alongside coastal communities, scientists, and partner organizations to protect marine and coastal ecosystems, supporting the protection and expansion of Marine Protected Areas and promoting concrete actions in coastal communities. Every project we choose to support shares the same goal: to leave behind a more informed community, a cause with greater weight on the public agenda, and a territory with a greater chance of being protected.

WHY FILMS
We understand cinema not only as a means of recording, but as a tool to generate real change. In a world saturated with information, stories have the unique ability to break through the barriers of indifference.
THE FOUNDERS
Julián and Joaquín Azulay began by searching for waves no one had ever surfed. Along the way, they discovered something much bigger: unique ecosystems, coastal communities, and stories unknown to most people. Gauchos del Mar was born from this love for the sea and the need to document their experiences.
The Foundation was born later, from the conviction that simply documenting wasn't enough. That the stories unfolding on screen deserved to continue off-screen, transformed into concrete action.
